Meet Hillary
Hillary Griffin-Bilik was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. She graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, California, where she studied the human figure through drawing and painting. She was heavily influenced by the works of Modigliani, Shiele and Wayne Theibaud which shifted her work into expressionism not only through portraiture and figurative work, but also tangible pop culture.
Hillary’s work is set apart by the variety of mediums where she takes a playful approach. This integration of skills and mediums creates a genuine experience for turning every day objects into something fun.
From Los Angeles to New York, Prague, Czech Republic, and Portland Oregon- she now resides in rural Washington where she lives on a farm with countless animals and is surrounded by everything that is good.
